National Guard to simulate emergency situations in annual training


Guam – Beginning today the Guam National Guard will be performing some exercises that will simulate real life emergency situations as part of its annual training.

The Guam Army National Guard Detachment 2, 1-224 Aviation Regiment
will be conducting annual will participate in this training.

Residents are warned not to be alarmed if you witness these exercises which will happen at various sports fields like the Malesso Baseball field, Yigo Baseball Field, Eagles Field and at Adelup.

Training will include touch-and-go landings, live patients hoisting, and the simulation of a downed aircraft.

In a release, the National Guard says “all precautionary measures were taken into consideration for the safety of the participants and the public.

Training will continue until next Monday, June 11.
