The Republic of the Marshall Islands recently received a donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) from the United States National Strategic Stockpile (SNS).

The donations were made to the Marshall Islands to assist with COVID-19 preparations and response efforts. The SNS is the repository for medical supplies in the United States.

In a release, the Marshall Islands Government said it is grateful for the support and assistance of the United States most especially during this critical time.

This is the 1st and 2nd wave of donations that the Marshall Islands Government has received.

In response to the donation, Marshall Islands President David Kabua said, “I understand that the RMI is expected to receive a third inbound supply of PPES in the upcoming weeks from the US National Strategic Stockpile. The PPEs we received, will be utilized by our frontline workers whose services are considered essential, should there be a need deemed appropriate for use.”
