Guam – The Guam Police Department has announced another round of DUI checkpoints this weekend.
The checkpoints will begin this Friday, August 22 at 6pm and run through 6am Saturday morning and then resume again Saturday evening at 6pm through Sunday August 24th.
GPD says that the checkpoints will be set up at various locations throughout the island including Route.1 Marine Corps Drive – Naval Station to Andersen Air Force Base, Rt.1 and Rt.8 to Rt.1 and Rt.16, Rt.10, Rt.4, Rt.15, Rt.14 San Vitores Road, Tumon.

BARRIGADA – DUI CHECKPOINTS THIS WEEKEND, starting, 6:00pm, Friday, August 22, 2014 to 6:00am, Saturday, August 23, 2014, and 6:00pm, Saturday, August 23, 2014 to 6:00am, Sunday, August 24, 2014.
The Guam Highway Patrol will be conducting DUI Checkpoints in various locations throughout the major roadways of Guam, (Rt.1 Marine Corps Drive – Naval Station to Andersen Air Force Base, Rt.1 and Rt.8 to Rt.1 and Rt.16, Rt.10, Rt.4, Rt.15, Rt.14 san Vitores Road, Tumon)
If weather conditions prevent setting up the DUI Checkpoints, roving DUI Checks will be conducted.
The Guam Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Works, Office of Highway Safety remind those who plan on drinking alcohol beverages to please identify a designated driver before hand.
Based on officers experience and observation, failure to submitted to a Field Sobriety Test, and or BAC Test, will result in automatic confiscation of your drivers license and confinement, regardless if your DUI, so please comply with the officers instructions.
