Guam -Nine more Guam businesses and organizations signed a Hafa Adai Pledge today, vowing to incorporate the Chamorro Culture into everyday office practices.
Representatives from the Buzz Cafe, Calvo’s Insurance, G-Crew Maintenance, Guam Federation of Teachers, Guam Preservation Trust, Pacific Sports Network, PBS Guam, Sling Shot Guam and United Tire signed their commitment to the Pledge during a Ceremony at the Guam Visitor’s Bureau this morning.
Former First Lady and GVB Deputy General Manager Joann Camacho says the Hafa Adai Pledge is unique to each company that signs it and can be as simple as promising to greet customers with a friendly Hafa Adai.
“It’s really to infuse our culture into the workplace,” Camacho explains. “Bringing the Hafa Adai spirit into the workplace is something that GVB really wants to promote.”
The Hafa Adai Pledge launched last July and so far more than 60 businesses and organizations signed the Pledge.
