No tsunami threat to Marianas from Philippines earthquake


The U.S. Geological Survey recorded an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.9 that occurred 14 kilometers northeast of San Pedro, Philippines at 10:03 a.m. (ChST), with a depth of 33.0 kilometers.

As advised by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, there is NO tsunami threat to Guam or the Marianas at this time.
