North Korea has launched another unidentified projectile, Reuters reported, citing the Yonhap news agency.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) was quoted as saying that North Korea fired an unidentified projectile on Wednesday morning from around Wonsan, Kangwon province toward the sea to the east.
Here on Guam, the Offices of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS/OCD), in conjunction with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), federal and military partners, continue to monitor events surrounding the region including reports of this most recent North Korean projectile launch.
“Based on available data, there was no indication the reported tests posed an immediate threat to Guam or the Marianas,” stated Homeland Security Advisor Tim Aguon. “Our office, along with our local, military and federal partners, will continue to monitor the events surrounding our region.”
