Guam – Students at Notre Dame High School were sent home early today, because of a power outage in the area.

Administration Officer Chris Lizama notified the media this morning that students would be sent home at 12pm because of “Power fluctuations in the area.”

Guam Power Authority Spokesman Art Perez told PNC that power was restored to the school and surrounding areas by 10:45am.  He said a brown tree snake was found nearby and was likely the cause of the outage.

But Notre Dame Administrators said the students had already been dismissed by the time they got word that power had been restored.
