Guam – The National Weather Service has declared a High Surf Advisory for north facing reefs starting at 6am Thanksgiving morning and lasting until 3 pm Sunday afternoon.
The high surf will affect exposed reefs and beaches along north-facing coastlines and that will produce dangerous, life-threatening rip currents.
Expect surf building to hazardous heights of 10 to 12 feet along north facing reefs by sunrise. The surf should remain near those heights for at least several days.
Residents are advised to avoid venturing near the surf, especially along north facing reefs because a ripe current can drag you out to sea and lead to your death.
