The National Weather Service in Tiyan Guam has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for poor drainage areas in southern Guam until 3:15 pm today.

At 11:39 AM ChST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain which will cause urban and small stream flooding.

Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Talofofo, Inarajan, Merizo, Santa Rita, and Umatac.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
