USS Oklahoma City Now Calls Guam Home

Guam – The Los Angeles class submarine USS Oklahoma City has now made Guam its homeport.

A homeporting ceremony was held Thursday at Naval Station Guam.

The “Oklahoma City” will replace the USS City of Corpus Christi (SSN 705) and brings the number of  submarines forward deployed on Guam back up to 3. The submarine will be assigned to Commander, Submarine Squadron 15.

The USS Oklahoma City has a crew of approximately 130 personnel. The sub completed an engineering overhaul in November of last year.
