Olivos Gets Probation & Deportation for Fake Marriage


Guam – In District Court Crisanto Maderal Olivos was sentenced to 2 years probation Thursday after he guilty to immigration document fraud.

Visiting Judge David O. Carter also ordered Olivos “self-deportation.”

He plead guilty to fraudulently obtaining a U.S. Permanent Resident Card  also known as a “green card.”

The fraud was commited through a fake marriage to a U.S. citizen.

Co-defendant Maria Calipay Camacho also pled guilty for her role as a conspirator in the scheme. Camacho arranged the fraudulent marriage and assisted Olivos in applying for his green card.  Camacho will be sentenced on November 9.

In a rleease, U.S. Attorney Alicia Limtiaco states that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency investigated the case with the help of the CNMI’s Attorney General’s Investigation Unit.  Assistant United States Attorney Kirk Schuler prosecuted the case.
