One elementary school on lock-down – another sheltering-in-place

Guam – Shortly after 1 PM PNC was notified about incidents at two schools on two separate ends of the island. According to GDOE Public Affairs Officer, Isa Baza, A lock-down procedure was initiated at Inarajan Elemnetary School at around 12:15 PM. This lock-down procedure was initiated after a threat was received by school staff. GDOE states that the Guam Police Department is on site responding to the incident. As of 1:22 PM GPD confirms that the school is still on lock-down.

In the village of Yigo, a shelter-in-place procedure was initiated at the Machananao Elementary School at around 12:57 p.m. The shelter-in-place procedure was initiated in response to a live ordinance found across the school. The Guam Fire Department is responding to address this situation.
