Open enrollment for farmers’ market nutrition program


Press Release – The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) has announced the open enrollment for the  FY2019 WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program. 

The program is open to certified farmers who grow vegetables and fruits. Those who qualify can pick up an application and information packet from May 13 to June 13, 2019 at the DPHSS Guam WIC Program Administration Office at 15-6100 Mariner Ave, Barrigada, (Tiyan), from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Guam WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program provides fresh, nutritious, unprepared foods (fruits and vegetables) from FMNP authorized farmers’ markets or road-side stands to women,  infants, and children who are participating in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). The Guam WIC FMNP also promotes awareness and use of our Guam local farmers’ markets and stands, respectively.
