VIDEO: Operation Green Giant Puts DOC Inmates to Work Cleaning Island Schools

Guam – They call it “Operation Green Giant. A program sponsored by the Department of Corrections aimed at cleaning up and fixing up Guam’s public schools.

The program has been underway since March of this year. And Wednesday a group of about 16 inmates was helping out at Benavente Middle and Wettengel Elementary and  up in Dededo.

DOC Spokesman Jeffrey Limo says DOC Director Jose San Agustin decided to put low risk inmates to work fixing up the schools.

   

Limo says operation Green Giant is moving onto the southern schools at the end of the month and they hope to double the number of inmates involved in the program.
