Outdoor Mask Mandate Lifted

Yesterday, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero announced the lifting of the outdoor mask mandate in effect today after announcing the possibility two weeks ago.

There are also no numerical or distance restrictions on social gatherings and social distancing.

However if you decide to practice social distancing and mask wearing indoors, it is up to you.

Governor Lou added that with your help, in two weeks time, if Guam residents continue to sustain low rates of transmission and hospitalization then on May 3rd the administration expects to lift the indoor mask requirements.

Additionally, FOX news has reported that a federal judge on Monday voided the Biden administration’s mask mandate for travelers using public transportation such as trains and airplanes and after the announcement United Airlines told employees that the mandate will remain in effect until they receive guidance from the federal government on how to proceed.
