Guam – Over 12 thousand dollars was divided and given to three GovGuam directors and the Public Auditor as a bonus for obtaining a clean audit for the 2007 fiscal year.
The Department of Revenue and Taxation Director Art Illagan says this was a decision that was made by the Department of Administration and it was properly done. Illagan says the way he understands the law is that employees classified A to V may get bonuses up to 3.5 percent of their pay.
Illagan says in the past GovGuam had major problems with their system.
The other three agency heads who received bonuses for the 2007 fiscal audit are Public Auditor Doris Flores Brooks, BBMR Director Bertha Duenas, and DOA Director Lou Perez.
