Overland Also Gets $8.1M Deal to Build Student Barracks at AAFB


Guam – The Ardmore Oklahoma based Overland Corporation has been awarded a $8,128,000 to build a student barracks at Andersen Air Force base.

The defense.gov website reports that the contract is a “firm-fixed-price task order” [#0004]  under a multiple award construction contract (N40192-10-D-2803).

The job is to build a Commando Warrior open bay student barracks at AAFB.

Specifically the task order requires Overland to build a reinforced concrete open bay student basic training dormitory building with laundry, hygiene and shower facilities to accommodate 150 personnel.  The facility will include a reception area, ready rooms, equipment wash down areas, storage space, mechanical spaces, fire suppression/detection, environmental controls, utilities, pavements, parking, and all necessary supporting facilities for a complete and usable facility.  The design and construction will incorporate sustainable design strategies and features. 

The work is slated for completion by June 2012. 

Six proposals were received for this task order.  The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Marianas selected Overland.
