Guam – Since the Calvo Administration took office in January, the Legislature’s Budget Committee Chairman, Senator Ben Pangelinan has cast a skeptical-eye on the Administration’s claims of a fiscal crisis.
While acknowledging there are millions of dollars in un-funded liabilities, Pangelinan says he is not convinced yet that the administration needs all of the $36-million dollars they have asked for in their Supplemental Appropriation request.
Pangelinan says he intends to ask some tough questions Thursday when he holds a hearing on the Governor’s supplemental request.
He told PNC News he wants to find out the “facts behind the press releases.”
