hagatna, Guam – (May 15) – Pay-‐Less Supermarkets launched the 1st annual “Design a Bag” Contest as part of the company’s M0B campaign and to promote Guam Earth Month.
For the month of April, local residents were invited to submit their own original artwork for a chance to be featured on Pay-‐Less Supermarket’s limited edition 2014 reusable shopping bags.
After thorough review, Pay-‐Less Supermarkets is excited to announce the two winners of its 2014 Design a Bag Contest: Tay’ahni Taki, School Category winner and Ryan Ayangco, Open Category winner.
Taki received $200 Cash, $50 Pay-‐Less gift certficates and $100 towards a student or non-‐profit organization of her choice. Ayangco received $300 Cash and $100 Pay-‐Less gift certificates.

Each winning design will be featured on limited edition reusable shopping bags-‐ Takai’s design on lunch bags and Ayancgo’s design on reusable bags. Starting in August, customers will have the opportunity to purchase both limited edition bags at all Pay-‐Less Supermarket locations.
Pay-‐Less Supermarkets encourages the community to continue to use reusable bags in efforts to reduce the amount of plastic bags on our island.
