Guam – Police officers were able to track down the man allegedly responsible for snatching a woman’s purse at Payless Supermarket in Dededo, his arrest subsequently resulted in the arrest of four other individuals implicated in other theft related crimes.
A total of five individuals were arrested on charges of robbery, home invasion, burglary and theft to a motor vehicle. The arrests were made after police tracked down an alleged purse snatcher identified as Franklin Peter Mendiola Aldan to his Yigo home were a search warrant was executed.
According to GPD Spokesperson Sgt Paul Tapao was found operating a stolen Honda Civic with two other individuals identified as Clarence Glen Aldan and Doris Deleon Guerrero.
The three were taken in for questioning at which time detectives discovered that Franklin and Clarence were not only involved in the Payless purse snatching but were also allegedly involved in several other robberies to include the Tamuning game room robbery.
Tapao says that the Aldans gave up their accomplices, identifying Peter Cabrera Pangelinan and Eddie John Cruz III.
The five were implicated in the following crimes:
Franklin Aldan: March 26th theft of a motor vehicle in Dededo, February 11th Verona Resort robbery, February 2nd Alupang Sunset Robbery, January 7th Burglary, home invasion and theft of property in Dededo, and the Payless purse snatching robbery.
Clarence Aldan: Theft of a motor vehicle on March 6th and 25th, Payless purse snatching robbery, January 24th Oh Maganda Lounge Robbery, Attempted Robbery of the 24-hour Game Time game room in Tamuning.
Doris Guerrero: theft of a motor vehicle on March 25th.
Joseph Panglinan: 24-hour Game Time robbery.
Eddie Cruz: 24-hour Game Time robbery.
All have been booked and confined.
