The pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle last night on Marine Corps Drive in Tamuning has died.
According to Guam Police Department spokesman Paul Tapao, the victim was transported to Guam Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 8:02 p.m. Monday night by attending physicians.
On Monday, July 8, at 7:40 p.m., officers assigned to GPD’s Highway Patrol Division were activated to investigate an auto-pedestrian crash that occurred on Route 1 Marine Corps Drive in Tamuning, by the Core Tech Building.
Preliminary reports suggest that the male pedestrian was walking on the northbound lane of Route 1 Marine Corps Drive when he was struck by a black BMW.
According to GPD, this case remains open as crash investigators have yet to determine if speed, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
