On Tuesday morning, the Philippine Consulate General in Agana hosted a briefing and sign-up campaign for the 2020 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour at the Guam Reef Hotel.
As a flagship project by the Philippine Foreign Service Posts in North America, the VIP Tour offers Filipino-Americans, and non-Filipinos a different group travel experience to the Philippines.
This year, participants will visit historical places and embark on a culinary adventure in Manila, Iloilo, and Boracay from July 19 to 26.
Philippine Consul Mark Francis Hamoy spoke to PNC this morning and extended an invitation for those who would like to participate in the tour.
According to Hamoy, this is the 15th year of the flagship program. The Philippine Embassy in Washington DC and all the U.S. consulates general have been holding the tours every year to promote tourism to the Philippines.
“This year we are very excited because this is the first time that the itinerary of the tour includes Iloilo and Boracay, the pre-eminent tourism destination in the Philippines,” Hamoy said.
April 1 is the registration deadline for the program. For more information, contact the Philippine Consulate in Agana via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at 646-4620.
