Guam – A 2 year old boy was in stable condition at Guam Memorial Hospital Sunday after being run over by an SUV in Piti Saturday night, which then left the scene.

The boy was in critical condition Saturday night, but as of Sunday mid-day, GMH Nursing Supervisor Cely Mangrobang said he was in stable, but still in the Intensive Care Unit.

Guam Fire Spokesman Lt. Ed Artero says the 911 call came in at 8:15pm reporting a auto-pedestrian accident on Marine Corps Drive at the Piti 76 gas station.

Police Spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia says the closed-circuit TV system at the gas station caught on tape “what appears to be” a black, 4-door, Chevy Silverado Primer with tinted windows.

Lt. Balajadia says the pickup “pulled into the Piti 76/Circle K for a few moments and then left running over a 2-year-old, male, chuuk, Piti, and then fled the scene.”

Police are looking for the driver of the vehicle. Anyone who has any information regarding the incident is asked to call Guam Police or Crime Stoppers at 477-HELP.
