Pika’s Café Recognized for Small Business Excellence

The announcement was made at the Guam Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Expo event.

Guam – Small business owners, managers, and companies gathered at Hyatt yesterday for the Guam Chamber of Commerce’s 12th Annual Small Business Expo.

This year, over 30 companies and organizations from the local and federal government and the private sector participated in the tabletop expo. Small businesses were able to make connections with industry specific professionals while community members who visited the expo were able to learn more about what services the various small businesses offer. The Guam Chamber of Commerce also announced that Pika’s Cafe, owned and operated by Pika and Lenny Fejeran, earned the Small Business Excellence Award. This special recognition is in its twelfth year and recognizes a small business member of the Chamber that has shown exemplary success within its industry and displayed a high level of community involvement and corporate citizenship.

Guam Chamber of Commerce Small Business Expo Event Chairman Al Yanger says, “The expo is an opportunity for them to get together. The expo includes small, medium and large businesses on Guam. What’s important about that is that large companies, if they have federal or GovGuam contracts, they’re looking for capable small businesses to partner with and so this is an opportunity to meet with someone and know what they do.”
The expo also featured a small business seminar on the topic “Making the Connection”, which focused on the procurement process.
