Pink Ladies Looking for More Volunteers for Direct Patient Assistance Program

The Guam Memorial Hospital Volunteers Association, also known as the Pink Ladies, is looking to expand their services.

Kathryn Davis-Finch, who’s been a volunteer for four years, says they’re looking to attract more volunteers so there would be more interaction with hospital patients from the surgical ward, Skilled Nursing Unit and even the Nursery.  She says there are about 15 services to choose from and it is a great opportunity to give back to the community.

Kathryn says, “We’re moving forward and I’m excited. We’ll be actually helping the patients, we’ll have someone at the information desk, we’ll have someone at the records office just doing little things but every little thing helps and it takes away from everyone doing minor things so they can get on with their primary duties and that’s what we’re there for.”

Kathryn invites everyone to join the Pink Ladies, especially students who are interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. For more information, you can call Kathryn at 727-3313.
