Police arrest a man and a minor in purse snatching case

Guam – They thought they got away with a crime committed right outside the Northern Satellite Court in Dededo and now two young men are behind bars on robbery charges waiting to appear before a judge.

Police say that the victim and a witness in a purse snatching which occurred at the Dededo Mall were able to provide details of the perpetrator’s get away vehicle. This information pointed authorities in the right direction to track down the vehicle and the two men implicated in the robbery.

John Ehmes Kelly and a 17-year old minor were brought in for questioning and subsequently arrested.

Kelly was arrested on offenses of robbery, terrorizing, jurisdiction over an adult and public drunkenness. He was booked and confined.

The minor was arrested for charges related to conspiracy to commit robbery and under age drinking. He was confined to the Department of Youth affairs.
