Police continue to pursue individuals who assisted murder suspect Ronat Chutaro with avoiding capture.

A week after police issued a wanted notice for Jerome Cruz, he surrendered to Superior Court Marshals.

Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao says Cruz was later arrested for offenses of hindering apprehension and a warrant of arrest.

Cruz was wanted in connection with Ronat Chutaro, the suspect police say is responsible for the stabbing death of Arthur Wakuk.

Police have stated that a number of individuals assisted Ronat avoid arrest by providing him food, clothing, and transportation.

Details of the assistance Cruz provided to Ronat have not been disclosed at this time.

Police are now searching for 18-year-old Kopich Chutaro, also known as “Osama.”

Kopich is wanted for questioning by the Guam Police Department regarding the aggravated assault complaint involving Ronat.

Kopich is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Kopich Chutaro is encouraged to call police at 472-8911.
