Police Launch Investigation Into Death of 2-Year Old Boy

Guam – Guam Police have launched a Death Investigation after a 2 year old boy was, reportedly, found unconscious inside a vehicle and later died.

Guam Police Public Information Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that the initial incident occurred a week ago, last Monday September 26th.

A 2-year-old boy was brought to the Yona Fire Station unconscious and non-responsive. The boy was taken to Naval Hospital where he died later that same day, according to Navy PIO Coleen San Nicolas Perez.  She could not say what the cause of death was.

Officers from the Hagatna Precinct were called in and launched the death investigation last Tuesday.

Officer Balajadia reports that they learned that the 2-year-old was outside playing when he somehow was able to get into a parked vehicle.

Family members say they found the unconscious 2-year-old inside that vehicle with the windows and the doors closed.

Criminal Investigation is conducting a death investigation into the boys death, states the release from Officer Balajadia.
