Police Looking for Man Who Snatched Purse and Sprayed Liquid Into Face of Woman in Yona Tuesday


Guam – Guam Police are asking for help in finding the man who assaulted a woman with a “liquid spray” in the parking lot of  M.U. Lujan Tuesday and then stole her handbag.

According to a release from GPD Spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia it happened shortly after 2pm Tuesday.

The woman told police that she walked to her car in the school’s parking lot, placed her bag inside,  then got into the vehicle herself when, she said,  a man approached her and sprayed a liquid onto her face and then grabbed her handbag and fled on foot into the nearby jungle.

Officer Balajadia describes the man as being possibly local, and standing 5-foot 4 inches tall with a  slim build. He was wearing khaki pants, a white t-shirt, black shoes and he had a white bandana around his face.

Anyone who has information about the case is being asked to call Guam Crime Stoppers at 477-HELP.

YONA – Tuesday, September 03, 2013, 2:25pm, officers responded to M.U. Lujan Elementary School, Yona on a reported robbery.

The victim (female) walked through the parking lot of the school to her vehicle, she placed her handbag in her vehicle, she then sat inside, when the suspect;

Male / Possibly local / 5′ 4” in height / slim built
white bandana covering face, Khaki pants, white t shirt, black shoes

approached her and sprayed a liquid substance at her face and grabbed her handbag, then fled on foot toward the jungle area nearby.

This case is still under investigations and has been forwarded to Criminal Investigations Section for follow-up.
