Police looking for suspects in 2 separate robberies

Guam – Police are asking for the community’s help in locating two suspects involved in two separate robberies.

The first is an armed robbery that occurred at the Chalan Pago/Ordot Mayor’s Office early yesterday morning. According to police, a homeless man was sitting outside the mayor’s office when a man driving a silver Nissan Sentra pulled up.

Wielding a hammer, police say the driver got out, grabbed the victim’s watch then fled the scene. The suspect was seen driving southbound on Route 4 in Ordot.

He’s described as possibly local, medium build with short black hair.

The second robbery happened inside the lobby of the Verona Resort around 11 pm Sunday. A woman was sitting in the lobby when a man suddenly grabbed her purse and took off.

The suspect was last seen running up JFK hill toward Marine Corps Drive.

He was described as possibly local with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, beige shorts and a dark-colored hat.
