Police searching for armed robbery suspect

Guam – An unidentified man armed with a rifle entered Local Mart demanding money from the store’s cashier, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is still at large and described as being possibly local with a medium build he was seen wearing a gray long sleeved shirt and dark shorts, his face concealed with a white shirt.

Police say the robbery occurred just before 10 p.m., on Friday.

“The cashier immediately complied and handed an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect.   The suspect was seen fleeing in a dark colored sedan towards Route 1 Marine Corps Drive,  Dededo,” explained GPD Spokesman SGT Paul Tapao.

Two videos of the robbery in progress depict not only the suspect but also the alleged vehicle the suspect fled in. In the video a witness films what appears to be a dark blue sedan parked outside the store. The suspect exits out of the store and enters the vehicle’s passenger side before the get-a-way driver pulls out of the store’s parking lot.
