Police Week Declared May 15-21; Governor Joins Palacios in Thanking Law Enforcement


Guam – The Legislature’s Public Safety Chairman, Senator Adolpho Palacios joined by GOvernor Eddie Calvo presented Resolution No. 75-31 (COR) to the Guam Police Department (GPD) Monday in recognition of May 15 to May 21, 2011 as “Guam Police Week”.

Following Governor Eddie Calvo’s proclamation signing, Senator Palacios gave brief remarks honoring the hardworking men and women of GPD and of other local and federal government law enforcement agencies.

Senator Palacios expressed sincere appreciation to our island’s police officers and civilian employees for their selfless service to the people of Guam and called their work, “a clear testament of the unyielding commitment they’ve made to keep our island safe.”
