Port employee tests positive for COVID-19; 44 more potentially exposed

Port Authority of Guam General Manager Rory J. Respicio was notified late Wednesday morning that a Port employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

Respicio said the latest case also includes an additional 44 Port employees who have been identified as potentially exposed.

“Our Port Contact Tracing Team immediately began working on the case to identify all of the contacts and notified the Department of Public Health and Social Services to schedule testing for the additional 44 employees,” Respicio said.

This employee remains in active isolation and is experiencing mild symptoms.
