Port Moving Forward With Emergency Acquisition of Generators


Piti, Guam – ( January 24) – The Port of Guam issued a release this afternoon saying that they are moving forward with the emergency acquisition of new generators.

On January 13, 2014 Governor Calvo issued Executive Order No. 2014-01 paving the way for the Port to purchase generators to ensure that its operational, maritime and port security activities remain functional in the event of a major power disruption at the Jose D. Leon Guerrero Commercial Port.

As such, the Port Authority of Guam (PAG) is inviting all interested vendors to pick up a Request for Quotation (RFQ) packet starting Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Procurement Office on the 2nd floor of the Port Admin. Building.

An initial vendor meeting will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Port Board Room.
