Be ready for possible rotating outages from 6 to 9pm tonight.
According to GPA, two of the island’s four baseload powerplants are offline.
Piti 8 is offline due to scheduled maintenance and is expected to return to service tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Cabras 2 went offline at around 11:25 last night due to emergency repairs to the boiler system.
GPA says that Cabras 2 is expected to return to service on Monday April third.
GPA is reminding the community that this is possible outages, and that it doesn’t mean that power interruption is imminent.
