Power 98’s Class Act Senior Lipdub Challenge is Back

The competition is on for high school seniors around the island! Our sister station Power 98’s Class Act is back for its third year and it’s bigger than ever with the senior libdub challenge.

High school seniors can represent their school and win cash for their senior class, whether it’s for prom, graduation or an extra activity. What is lip dub? It is a type of video that combines lip syncing and audio dubbing to make a music video.

Sorensen Media Group’s Promotions and Social Media Coordinator Kimberly Blaz says entries will be judged by media professionals based on creativity, overall presentation, and lip syncing to selected music.

Blaz says, “I’ve just been telling all of them to have fun with the event. This is a great chance for them to come together as a class and make a memory, a video, that will stay with them forever. They’ll also be winning a cash prize at the end so there’s a great incentive for the students.”

Blaz says the large school winner brings home $2000 and the small school winner gets $1500.
Entries must be delivered to SMG Stations no later than February 27, 2015.
