The Guam Election Commission says candidates looking to run in this year’s election can start filing packages on Wednesday, May 6, the day after the public health emergency is scheduled to end on Guam.
GEC officials say candidate packets for the 2020 primaries can be filed starting at 8 a.m. that day.
Those looking to run for Mayor, Vice Mayor, Senator, Delegate or Public Auditor, will have until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30 to turn in their applications.
The primary election is so far scheduled for August 29, and the deadline for residents to register to vote is August 19.
Candidate packages for Education Board and CCU hopefuls will need to be turned in between June 26 to September 4.
The 2020 General Election Day is scheduled for November 3.
