The Guam Department of Labor says their PUA processing centre has been temporarily suspended at the Yona Library location because the toilets are backed up and overflowing.

David Dell’Isola, the director, says they can’t be in operation when lavatories are non operational.

The department says any PUA claimants needing help should head to the Agat Library location. All of the staff from Yona are heading to Agat to support services there.

Dell’Isola says the Yona toilets are getting serviced Friday afternoon and the center will reopen Monday at the earliest.

The department’s PUA help-lines are also back up, after a one-day closure on Wednesday; anyone needing support with their application may also phone in.

Dell’Isola says he’s working to keep operations for PUA issues open despite a possible PCOR1/PCOR2 declaration by the Governor, in order to keep claims moving.

“We’re discussing whether it’s only by the phones or by appointments, we need to see what can work,” said Dell’Isola.
