Public Health Director James Gillan shared that he plans on retiring from his position effective February 2.
Guam – This afternoon, the Director of Public Health has announced his plans to step down from the department.
On Newstalk K-57’s “Patti on the Radio”, Public Health Director James Gillan shared that he plans on retiring from his position effective next month.
Gillan has served as the Director of the Department of Public Health and Social Services for several years and oversaw multiple developmental programs.
It’s not clear as to why he is retiring; however, during a recent public hearing on medical marijuana Gillan testified saying that if the legislature decides to keep Public Health as the administrator of the program they would have to do it with another director.
