Public Health issues guidance memo for the operation of GovGuam agencies

Guidance Memo 2020-28

The Guam Department of Public Health issued Guidance Memo 2020-28 today, Friday July 10.

It details the minimum required steps that must be taken by GovGuam agencies to protect employees from being infected by COVID-19.

The memo provides guidance on employee health, cleaning and disinfecting, ventilation, social distancing, and other protective measures.

Among the requirements in the memo:

  • Prohibit hand-shaking and other physical contacts during greetings

  • All GovGuam employees to wear masks covering both their mouth and nose

  • All employees must maintain social distancing of 6 feet

  • Masks with exhalation valve are discouraged

  • An employee, alone, in a private office or room may remove their mask

  • Have written procedures in place

  • Employees must immediately report symptoms to their supervisor
