“Big Blue” Could Be Floating Again in Two Weeks

Guam- Guam Shipyard continues to work on the refloating of the drydock “MACHINIST” aka “BIG BLUE”

Guam Shipyard President and Chief Executive Officer Mathews Pothen says the Shipyard is diligently repairing all the electrical systems, including motors, switchboards, etc.

“In addition,” a press release from the Guam Shipyard states. “We are completing all the structural integrity of the tanks to being to refloat [SIC] the drydock “MACHINIST” with its own dewatering pumps. Guam Shipyard anticipates to refloat the drydock “MACHINIST” in the next two weeks.
