Raising Cane’s offers Guam its signature chicken meals with ‘one love’ service

A new restaurant just opened last weekend at the Micronesia Mall to serve Guam their signature chicken dishes with their “one love” service.

Established 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana by founder and CEO Todd Graves, Raising Cane’s started out as a college dream — a restaurant that serves high-quality chicken finger meals.

Raising Cane’s vision was to have restaurants worldwide and be known for their quality meals, a great crew, cool culture, and active community involvement.

According to Raising Cane Area Leader Raymond Yueng, when they were getting the restaurant started on Guam, the pandemic provided some obstacles but they were able to pull through.

“We’re very excited to be here for you guys. It’s been two years in the making. There were some challenges opening up on Guam. We pushed back a little bit, almost two months from the original date that we wanted to open. That was the biggest challenge — opening up with the pandemic and of course, getting things to Guam. It takes a little bit longer overall. But it was okay and I think opening in this new market … we just wanted to open up strong and train the crew members well,” Yeung said.

He added the reason they decided to open on Guam was the diverse local market and the strong military presence.

They wanted military personnel stationed on the island to have a restaurant that reminds them of home.

Raising Cane’s Manager Jian Quin says that although their target customers are local residents and military personnel, they also look forward to sharing the restaurant’s “one love” quality of food and services to visitors when tourism reopens.

“If the tourists are back on our island, we’re expecting another 20% increase in our sales. We are very confident about our restaurant. First, we sell good, quality products,” Qin said.

Raising Cane’s currently has about 500 restaurants in 29 states, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Multiple new restaurants are under construction.

Their most known meals include their crinkle fries, coleslaw, toast, and of course, their golden chicken tenders with Cane’s own signature sauce.

The company is continually recognized for its unique business model and customer satisfaction.

The restaurant is located in the food court at the Micronesia Mall, Dededo from 11 am to 7 pm.
