Guam – The Governor’s Office today [Friday] sent out a termination notice to 17 “unclassified” GovGuam employees.
These termination notices are separate from the notice of pending layoffs that is being sent today to classified employees.
The process necessary to terminate a classified employee is more lengthy and the Governor has already announced in his Special Address today that it will be at least 30 days before any layoff notices go out to classified employees.
Under the heading “Reorganization Advisory No. 2”, the Governor today announced that the 17 who lost their jobs today were either unclassified appointments, limited term appointments, temporary appointments or acting appointments.
