Rear Adm. Bushong Nominated for Appointment as U.S. Security Coordinator Israel-Palestinian Authority

Guam –  Rear Adm. Paul J. Bushong has been nominated for appointment to the rank of  vice admiral for assignment as the U.S. Security Coordinator with the Israeli-Palestinian Authority.

Rear Adm. Bushong has been on Guam since March 2010 serving as the commander of  U.S. Naval Forces Marianas.

Bushong is a native of Lucas, Texas, and was commissioned upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy in 1981.

In March, the Navy announced that Rear Adm. (lower half) Tilghman D. Payne will be assigned to take over Bushong’s current command of  Joint Region Marianas. Payne is currently serving as commander, Navy Region MIDWEST, Great Lakes, Ill.

A change of Command Ceremony has not yet been publcially announced.
