Tumon, Guam – ( March 6) – The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) has announced that registration is now open for the 2014 Guam Ko’ko’ Kids Run on Sunday, March 23rd at Governor Joseph Flores Memorial Park (Ypao).
The run will include a 3.3K for 10 – 12 year olds (Show time 5:30 a.m., Go time 6:30 a.m.), a 1.6K for 7 – 9 year olds (Show time 6:15 a.m., Go time 7:15 a.m.) and a 0.6K for 4 – 6 year olds (Show time 7 a.m., Go time 8 a.m.). Registration is available at GVB and Hornet Sports, as well as online via the Guam Ko’ko’ Kids Run Facebook page. However, space is limited to the first 500 to sign up. The first 400 finishers will receive a Ko’ko’ Kids t-shirt and each finisher will receive a finisher’s medal and ditty bag.
“From the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race to the Guam International Marathon and virtually a 5K every weekend throughout the year, Guam is an active community and we want to share that lifestyle with our children – I famagu’on måmi,” said GVB Acting General Manager Jon Nathan Denight. “We are excited to host kids from all around the region. This event is a great opportunity for our local and international communities.”
Each division will feature a Zumba Kids warm-up led by instructors from Synergy Studios. Interactive cultural activities will also be showcased.
