The Republican Party of Guam has sent letters to its village organizational leaders and GOP candidates discouraging the use of hospitality tents during this year’s primary election.
“Due to Executive Order 2020-27, the Republican Party of Guam is discouraging the
presence of Hospitality Tents during the Primary Election. While this decision is
unfortunate, we need to assure that as a party we comply with provisions associated
with congregations and social gatherings. As of today, the Executive Order does
remain intact on the day of the Primary Election,” the GOP letter stated.
The GOP added: “We understand that this election cycle will certainly be unique, and we will have to look outside the box and identify other creative methods in getting the party and candidates’ messages out. The Guam GOP will be looking into what other options do exist and will advise accordingly. Likewise, we are encouraging all village
organizations and candidates to do the same. Thank you for your understanding, and hopefully things change for the General Election in November.”
