Guam’s Republican Senators Endorse Esther Kia’aina as DOI Assistant Secretary for Insular Affairs

Guam – Guam’s GOP Senators have written a joint letter endorsing Esther Kia’aina’s nomination as Assistant Interior Secretary for Insular Affairs.

The letter was address to Senator Ron Wyden who Chairs the Senate’s Energy and Natural Resources Committee which will conduct the confirmation hearing for Kia’aina.

The letter praises Kia’aina qualifications and record of service and pledges the Guam GOP Caucus’ desire to work closely with Kia’aina upon her confirmation by the U.S. Senate.

Republican Senators Endorse Esther Kia’aina

The Guam Legislature’s GOP Caucus has expressed full support for the confirmation of Ms. Esther Kia’aina as the Interior Department’s Assistant Secretary for Insular Affairs. 

In a letter to United States Senator Ron Wyden endorsing President Barrack Obama’s nomination of Ms. Kia’aina, the Republican senators lauded Ms. Kia’aina’s qualifications and record of service to our region. Senator Wyden is the Chairman of the Senate’s Energy and Natural Resources Committee which will conduct the confirmation hearing on Ms. Kia’aina’s nomination.

The Republican senators expressed their desire to work closely with Ms. Kia’aina upon her confirmation by the U.S. Senate in her advocacy for Guam and the Pacific region.
