Rev and Tax Temporarily Out of License Plates

Have you noticed all the temporary license plates on the roads lately?

It’s because the Department of Revenue and Taxation is out of license plates.

Rev and Tax Director John Camacho tells us they ran out of plates to issue out because there was a large number of residents that registered their new vehicles last month. Under Guam Law, temporary plates from car dealers are only valid for 60 days.

He says don’t worry, they already placed the order for the license plates, but because of a shipping delay, they don’t expect to give out plates until the 20th. Camacho says once the plates are in, they will distribute them to the various car dealers.
