Reyes named 2019 Young Professional of the Year

The Guam Chamber of Commerce awarded the Reina A. Leddy Guam Young Professional of the Year Award to John Reyes, Jr. who is the vice president, business intelligence manager of the Bank of Guam.

The award was presented during this year’s Guam Young Professionals Event of the Year held on Jan. 25, 2020 at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort.

“The Chamber is pleased to present the Guam Young Professional of the Year Award honoring an individual who embodies professionalism and integrity in his field of business and personal life. His leadership and initiative at the Bank of Guam led to the implementation of various systems and platforms, optimizing digital performance and efficiencies for the entire organization. As an advocate for giving back to the community, he has been involved in raising awareness and much-needed funding for Guam Cancer Care, Guam Girl Scouts, the American Cancer Society, and Mercy Actions Marianas along with many more local charities,” said Chamber President, Catherine Castro.

President Castro added: “The Chamber would also like to recognize this year’s nominees for their individual outstanding efforts in their respective businesses and their impact in the community, as they are each deserving of this esteemed recognition.”

The Chamber is encouraging other young business professionals in the community to consider membership with the Guam Young Professionals for various opportunities for growth and enrichment.
