Guam – Guam Police have arrested one man in connection with a burglary at a home in Agat early Sunday morning.
The resident of the home on Perino Street reported to police that he had returned home around 1:00 am to find that his security lights were turned off and that it appeared that someone had tried to gain entry into his home by removing a glass panel.
The owner made a check throughout his home and didn’t notice anything else unusual.
However, according to GPD Public Information Officer A.J. Balajadia, the home owner went outside again about 3:30 am to make another check to be sure everything was secured.
There he reportedly met up with 2 men standing on his property. The home owner said 1 man was holding what appeared to be a tire iron.
The home owner said he then asked the men what they were doing, and a struggle ensued.
The home owner sprayed “pepper-spray” on one of the suspects, but both men were able to flee.
Officers later found one of the suspects, the one who had been sprayed with “pepper-spray,” at the Agat 76 Station. They transported him to the Precinct where he was treated by medics for the pepper spray, interrogated and then arrested.
That man is 20 year old Aaron Keen DeCastro of Dededo. He was booked and confined. The 2ed suspect has not yet been arrested.
